'Antoinette's Dream' Tricorn Hat A hat most definitely fit for a queen, we'd like to imagine that Marie Antoinette would squeal with delight at the sight of this extravagant little hat! Evocative of the elaborate adornments women placed in their billowing hairstyles during the mid-18th century, this lovely red velvet tricorn hat features a miniature wooden sailing ship! With brim and crown covered in dark red velvet this hat also features ruffles, knife pleat trim and bow made from red plaid silk for a lovely regal charm suitable for holding court at Versailles. Topping off the hat is a miniature wooden sailing ship, crashing through waves of red velvet and black veil and two jaunty pheasant feathers. This hat is worn on the head with the help of an elastic hat cord that hides under the hair and is pulled around the bottom of the head near the nape of the neck (see detail photos).
